Thinking
of Buying or Renovating a Facility?
If your structure
was built prior to 1960, more than likely there is lead paint present
on selected surfaces. Now that the new laws have taken effect, you
are obligated to assess where the lead is, and take the necessary
steps to ensure compliancy. Several Federal and State Regulations
have been promulgated in the past ten years that define exactly
what is permissible, and what may be subject to fines and penalties.

How Does Local Law 38 Affect You?
Whether your
structure was built before or after 1960 Local Law 38 affects how
you address areas covered with lead paint. Housing, Preservation,
& Development (HPD) is concerned when repairs or renovation
activities are performed on those areas.
