Drywell
Remediation & Closure
 |
|
All commercial
and industrial properties have drywells and septic systems.
In many cases these systems may have received discharges from
various wash sinks, sanitary facilities, floor drains or boiler
room areas. As a result they contain chemicals or contaminants
in excess of Federal, State, or County Guidelines.
Action
Remediation can supply the Hazmat Certified work force in
combination with the equipment and methodology necessary to
complete the cleanout or closure properly.

Do
You Have Health Department Violation?
|
 |
 |
 |

FEDERAL
(EPA)
www.epa.gov
The
EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) has guidelines with
respect to dry well closure as mandated by Part C of the Federal
Safe Drinking Water Act. Regulations concerning UIC (Underground
Injection Control) can be found in 40 CFR Parts 124, 144,
145, 146,& 147.
COUNTY
(DOH)
www.health.state.ny.us
The
State Health Department, through the individual county departments,
enforces compliancy with the following:
OSHA -- Confined Space Entry Respiratory Protection
EPA -- (UIC) Program.
Safe Drinking Water Act
|
|
|
|
Due to
the threat of contamination of ground water, the Health Dept.
periodically inspects Injection Well Systems for contaminants
as defined by the US Environmental Protection Agency. The
violation notice calls for the removal of contaminated liquid
and solids, legal disposal of the waste streams, and valid
endpoint sampling of the well to verify that the full extent
of the contamination plume has been removed. In most cases,
satisfying all these criteria involves using multiple contractors.
Action
can not only provide a 'turn key' project, but can supply
you with clear cut procedures, scope of work, and "real
time" estimates on costs.
